Witloof Chicory is a Belgian variety that is great for home gardening. Plants grow 12-18” tall and produce light to medium green leaves. Sow seeds directly outside ½” deep and 1” apart in full sun. After 4 weeks, thin seedlings to be 6-12” apart. Approx 25,500 Seeds / Oz.

Leaves have the best flavor when grown in cooler temperatures, so aim for fall or spring harvest. After 55-115 days, plants should reach full size and are ready to be harvested. Leaves have mildly acidic but sweet flavor. They are ideal for salads and taste great when cooked as well
